What is a Camp Oven ?

An Australian Camp Oven is a cast iron cooking pot which was used in the early settlers days as a main cooking facility in all outback cooking . Hot coals from the Camp Fire are shovelled underneath and on top of the Oven, and the food is cooked slowly inside, creating a very special delicious flavour and tenderness. 

Camp Ovens still enjoy great and growing popularity, a fair dinkum Aussie way of life and eating!
