RE : Bottle tops on Coles 2 litre
milk bottles .
We noticed that the lids on your 2 litre milk bottles have a ring on the bottom , which does not split
apart , when you open the bottle .
These rings are very dangerous to small animals , such as birds . The ring can get
stuck around their neck or mouth and injure the animal or even be fatal .
We enclose a photo of a bird we caught with
one of these rings around its bill . Fortunately we were able to remove the ring and save the bird .
There are bottle
tops with a much better design readily available on the market . Their rings split open , when people screw the top off the
bottles . We urge you to consider a change in the type of bottle tops you use , as the millions of bottles you sell each year
can have a strong impact .
